Where to Turn Resource Fair Returns for its 8th Bi-Annual Event

April 14, 2015 (Pittsburgh, PA)— The 8th Where to Turn Resource Fair will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Resource Fair connects social service & healthcare professionals to agencies and businesses who provide services to seniors and families throughout Western Pennsylvania. Attendees include Case Managers, Service Coordinators, Social Workers, Discharge Planners, Teachers, Nurses and is open to anyone in the general public interested in these topics. Social Workers and school and child care teachers will be able to earn Continuing Education Credits.
The theme of this year’s Resource Fair is “Food, Housing & Transportation.” Speakers will provide information about community resources addressing these topics include representatives from the Port Authority of Allegheny County transit system, American HealthCare Group, Allegheny County Housing Authority, 412 Food Rescue, ACHIEVA Family Trust, National Network of Libraries of Medicine, The Brauer Institute for Holistic Medicine and Just Harvest. Over 65 exhibitors will provide information about their services. The 9th event will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 and will address “Health Care Updates for 2016.”
Organizer Erin Hart stated, “Bringing these professionals together twice a year provides an excellent opportunity to build relationships across communities. People have told us this was a great way to meet others in the field doing similar work and exchange ideas about best practices.”
There is no cost to attend.
