Port Authority Senior Citizen ConnectCard

The following information is especially for seniors who ride Port Authority and other public transit vehicles. Examples of public transportation are PAT busses and the T (light rail systems).

ACCESS transportation (a coordinated, shared-ride paratransit service) is not included.

Seniors can apply for the Senior Citizen ConnectCard at the Port Authority’s Downtown Service Center and at several locations in the community. Find a complete list of locations and requirements on the webpage.

  • The Senior Citizen ConnectCard allows seniors to ride Port Authority and other public transit vehicles for free across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • The new Senior Citizen ConnectCard works just like a ConnectCard but does not need to be loaded with stored value or a pass. Simply tap your card at the fare box and be on your way.
  • Port Authority will continue to accept blue or yellow PA Senior Transit ID cards indefinitely.
  • Seniors who currently use their Medicare ID card to ride public transportation for free must obtain a Senior ConnectCard by December 31, 2019.
